Who's Who in the 4-H Horse/Horseless Horse Project You are a Horse Project member if you own, lease, or manage a horse. You are a Horseless Horse Project member if you or your family do not own, lease or manage a horse; you may be matched with a horse Project member if available. A member's grade is as of January 1 of the current year, and will be maintained throughout the 4-H year. All members are strongly encouraged to attend the activities and events sponsored by the Manitowoc County 4-H Horse Committee and must comply with the rules/instructions of the Participation Award Program. The Horse Committee is open to all project members, parents and leaders. Monthly meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month, 7:00 pm at the Manitowoc County Office Complex (MCOC). Your input and help are always appreciated. Join us at the next meeting! |

The Horse Project follows the enrollment procedures as found in the 4-H Family Handbook. The 4-H year is from October 1 through September 30. Re-Enrollments are due October 31, but may be required earlier by the main leader of your club. Check with them! New enrollments will be accepted at any time, but must be in by May 1 to be eligible to exhibit at the Manitowoc County Junior Fair. Enrollment codes and descriptions are found in the annual 4-H Project Guide. Each member should submit by May 1 a Horse ID Form for each animal they will be working with for that 4-H year. |
