I Pledge My Head to Clearer Thinking, My Heart to greater loyalty, 
My Hands to larger service, My Health to better living, for my club, 
my community, my country, and my world.

4-H Is For Everyone
Boys and girls 5 (9 for Horse Related Activities) to 19 years of age, 
wherever they may live.

4-H'ers learn together as individuals or members of clubs.

4-H'ers have fun together at meetings, camps, trips, tours and picnics.

4-H'ers develop practical skills, through learn-by-doing projects.

4-H'ers perform community services, develop leadership and earn recognition.

4-H'ers explore careers, broaden horizons and learn about other cultures 
	through exchange programs.

The 4-H Horse Project aims to help 4-H members to:
Develop leadership, initiative, self-reliance, sportsmanship, and other 
	desirable traits of character. 
Experience the pride of owning a horse or pony and being responsible 
	for its management. 
Develop an appreciation of horseback riding as a healthy and wholesome 
	form of recreation. 
Learn skills in horsemanship and an understanding of the business of 
	breeding, raising and training horses. 
Increase knowledge of safety precautions to prevent injury to themselves, 
	others and their mount. 
Promote greater love of the animals and a humane attitude toward them. 
Be better prepared for citizenship responsibilities through working in
	 groups and supporting community horse projects an activities.
