Old Business:

Horseless Horse & Beginning Horse project meetings.  Please note a change:  Meetings will be held only at Little Brook Performance Horses in Newton, 3^rd Monday of the month at 6PM.

Winter Project Meetings:  Report on Feb. 28^th meeting at Riesterer’s stable—Beginning Halter Judging with Christel Mulder, and Horse Bowl Review.  Next meeting is March 28 at 10AM at Waak’s—bring horses for clinic: How to show in the “Dressage Suitability“ class.  English OR western saddles.  RSVP and 2009 Coggins required.   Be prepared to arrive early to unload horses at stable and then park at Pine River Dairy.

Open Pleasure & Gymkhana Shows: July 18 & 19, 2009.

o Awards:  trophies, ribbons, etc.

o Jump/Hunter Hack Equipment—share with BRR.

o Showbills available at Horse-A-Rama

o Volunteer Sign-up

o Expo Contract/Ins.

Horse-A-Rama, 4H Used Tack Booth: April 4-5 (set up April 3).  Get your volunteer hours in!  See chairperson Marilyn Lentz or Volunteer sign-up sheet (on website too).

Stall Banner Sweat Shop:  Sunday March 22, 12-3PM at MCOC.  Bring sewing machines, scissors & food.

New Business:

Horse Bowl & Hippology, May 2, Wausau:  Participants & leaders attending?  Funds provided by committee? T-shirts?

Spring Horse Camp: June 12-13.  Sat. Clinicians—Jack & Paula Curtis.  Friday evening will be horse and horseless games.  Confirm meals?

Open Arena / Gymkhana Practice:  Most Wed. evenings thru out the summer.  Clinicians on June 24, July 8 & 29, August 12, and ??  Topic ideas?

Fundraising Ideas: 50/50 raffle at both open shows.  Will need kids to volunteer to sell tickets on grounds.

Need a Volunteer to purchase Participation Party prizes for Fair:  Good deals from vendors at Horse-A-Rama.

Annual Charter Renewal requirements: including By-law Review, Community Service, Financial Report.

Other Dates for 2009:  Kewaunee Co. 4H Horsemanship & Trail Clinic, May 17.  State Hunter & Dressage Show, Plymouth, June 26-28.  Mtw. Co. Fair , Aug. 25-30.  State Gymkhana, Sept. 12-13.  State Horse Expo, Sept. 17-20.
