Old Business:

· Open Pleasure & Gymkhana Shows: July 18-19, 2009.  FANTASTIC turn-out! Thank you to all our volunteers!

o Prelim. Financial results, other comments, etc.

o 50/50 raffle results

· Open Arena / Gymkhana Practice: Wed. nights at 6PM, now thru Sept. 9, weather permitting.  Pleasure clinics: arrive at 6PM, clinic begins at 6:30PM:

o July 29 – Trail Obstacles – Report/Thank you card

o August 12 – Mock Show- Clinician Keith Potter

· Stiefvater Scholarships:  Two $75 scholarships available for State 4H Gymkhana or Horse Expo.  APPLICATIONS DUE TODAY.  Winners announced at Participation Party at Fair.

· 2009 County Fair:

o Aug. 25 Jr. Fair Horse Arrival 9AM--7PM; Check-in with Superintendants (Marilyn & Tanya) upon arrival.

o Aug. 26. Horse Show 9AM; Any PM activities?  Breed Demo or Costume contest?

o Aug. 27 Breakfast 8AM—Barb P. to purchase supplies, kitchen volunteers needed at 7AM.  Participation Party to follow.  10AM Horse & Horseless Fun Show--Megan P. & Anne S. to coordinate.  Horse Pull starts at Noon.  Horses released after 6PM.

o Stall Decoration Judging Thursday early afternoon—3 judges?? Winner announced before 5PM?

o May stay for Sat. Open Show—details at www.manitowoccountyexpo.com.

· Annual Charter Renewal requirements: Revised By-laws & Horse Project Guidelines—in progress.  All Charter documents and financial report due in October 2009.

· Any other Old Business?

New Business:

· Horse Committee Insurance Policy: Authorized individuals—officers and Kevin Palmer?

· State Gymkhana, Sept. 12-13.  State Horse Expo, Sept. 17-20: Sponsorships and tack stall fees paid by committee?  Stall banners?

· Next Meeting:  Tuesday, September 8, 7:00 PM—Election of Officers for 2009/2010.

· Any other new business?
